Delve into the topics of technology literacy and sustainable upskilling, focusing on Luxembourg's industrial landscape and highlighting the importance of technology literacy as a foundation for getting employees ready for technological innovation. A focus of this presentation will be the concept of sustainable upskilling, emphasizing the need to understand current skill levels through skills Intelligence and aligning workforce development with company strategies. For that purpose, Vygotsky's notion of a stage of proximal development is translated into a human and company centric form of digital skills assessment with concrete occupational tracks in mind. We'll address the challenges companies face in selecting relevant training programs and the insecurities employees may feel about adapting to new technologies. The L-DIH "Training Catalogue 2025," focusing on identifying essential skills, especially soft skills, for Industry 4.0 / 5.0 will be briefly presented in light of the Competence Centre training matrix, which maps out new industry occupations with input from experts, resulting in tailored training programmes.
